Secluded and glorious, we are looking forward to welcoming you to Stafford Moor, our 67-acre hideaway with no fewer than 7 fishing lakes for you to sample.  Conveniently perched close to coast and moorland in Devon and close to North Cornwall, you’ll wake up each day to tranquil lake views and a restful quiet will soothe you to sleep.  Pick your way through the winding streets of harbour towns, mount ancient granite peaks, take to the seas on your vessel of choice or simply drop a line and watch the natural world go by. It all awaits you at Stafford Moor.

GOOD TO KNOW

All the information you might need to ensure your holiday is relaxing from start to finish...

  • Your accommodation will be ready to welcome you from 3pm on your day of arrival.
  • Please help us protect our beautiful landscaping by parking your car in the designated parking area.  We provide two spaces per lodge; any additional vehicles should be parked in the car park.
  • Your beds will be made up with soft linen and bath towels are provided too.  You will need beach towels for any salt water adventures.
  • High chairs and cots can be hired at a cost of £10 per item.  Should you require these facilities please call us on 01503 220 220 ahead of your holiday to pre-book and pay.
  • If you intend on fishing whilst saying with us please read our fishing rules before arrival to ensure that you have all the correct equipment with you.
  • Beatties & Lodge Specimen Lake swims are pre bookable only
  • I​f you're not planning a digital detox, connect your device(s) to the Wi-Fi by searching under settings and network for the name of your lodge. The password will be rpovided in the lodge.
  • If you are looking to cook up a storm, in the kitchen the clock on the oven must be set to a time to allow your oven to co-operate.
  • If you have booked accommodation with a cosy log burner, you will need to supply logs, kindling and firelighters, these are not available on site but can be bought locally.
  • Our beautiful parks enjoy a tranquillity that we would ask you to respect by being mindful of noise, especially after sunset.
  • BBQs are allowed but only in the designated areas.
  • Kites/remote control planes/helicopters and drones are also not permitted on site but there are plenty of open spaces nearby where you can enjoy these.
  • Smoking is not permitted in any lodges, this includes the use of e-cigarettes.
  • Refuse and recycling bins are located opposite the entrance to the site. You can recycle glass, card, metals, paper and plastic.  Please do not leave any waste outside your lodge as the local wildlife will be all too pleased to have a root around and cause a mess!
  • Check out time is at 10am, so you squeeze in one last early morning fish before heading home.

WE WELCOME WAGGING TAILS!

We love dogs on site and are always happy to say hello. They are even welcome to explore off the lead! Dog waste bins are located at various point across the park.

Post Office & Local Shop
Our nearest Post Office and shop in Dolton is less than a 10 minute drive away.  The post office is also a shop selling essentials, baked goods and an off licence too! Our on site tackle shop also sells milk, bread, ice creams and a range of other useful items.

Eating Out
The nearest pubs are the New Inn at Roburgh and Kings Arms, Winkleigh, The Duke of York at Iddesleigh, The Royal Oak and The Rams Head Inn, Dolton all offering excellent home cooking, real fires and ales in a friendly atmosphere.

Supermarket & Petrol Station
Our closest supermarkets are in Torrington, where you will find a Lidl and M&S. Asda, Morrisons and Tesco can be found in Bideford.  Petrol stations can also be found in Torrington and Bideford and there is a Texaco petrol station a little closer at Hatherleigh.

Banks & ATMs
ATMs can be found in Winkleigh and Hatherleigh with a Nationwide branch available in Torrignton and a Lloyds in Bideford, other high street banks can befound in Barnstaple.
