The beauty on our doorstep…

As we each navigate our way through what has been an unprecedented time for the world, we have had time to reflect on the way we ‘used’ to go about our day to day lives.

Our ‘normal’ now is so different to what was ‘normal’ just a few months ago and it is said we are yet to see how our ‘new normal’ will be.  It is hoped that whatever that looks like, we learn from this recent past.  The creativity promoted, the technology advanced, the kindness shared and the beauty reminded.

When travel restrictions are eased, many will be looking for a holiday…keyworkers needing time to recuperate, home workers needing a break and furloughed employees needing a change of scenery.  Yet with overseas travel still currently in limbo, the demand for UK holiday destinations will undoubtedly increase as those holidays are now looked at taking place here instead.

Ok so some overseas weather is better than here in the UK and maybe the pureness of the blue waters and history of iconic locations are a real drive when planning a trip away. It’s understandable why perhaps wonderful locations in this country sometimes get forgotten.  Yet with limited flights and access to other countries in place currently, maybe now is the time we should look to rediscover what has been right on our doorstep all the time here in the UK.

After all, if we’ve learnt anything over these past weeks it’s that the importance of being able to share the simplest of times with loved ones and friends is way up the top of the list as the perfect set up for a family holiday away, creating those happy memories.  It may now be a ‘new normal’ with new social measures in place, but still so important.

So, wherever you choose, keep yourself and others safe, be mindful and we hope you get to build wonderful new memories and truly appreciate the beauty that is right on your doorstep…
