Fishing At stafford moor
Whether you are joining us for a fishing holiday in beautiful Devon, want to drop a line for the day or are planning to get cosy in your bivvy for an overnighter, you will be spoilt for choice with our 7 beautiful lakes, all fully stocked with a variety of species. At Stafford Moor you can enjoy some of the best carp fishing in Devon with our Big Beatties specimen lake providing the chance to land "the big one". On site you'll get a friendly welcome and can stock up with everything you need at our tackle shop.
OUR LAKES
Upon arriving at Stafford Moor your biggest decision after viewing all the lakes will be “Where do I fish?”! Our coarse fishing lakes give you plenty of options with a mix of species and lake features to choose from including islands and secluded backways. Plus two specimen fishing lakes for the chance to catch the fish of a lifetime!
Tanners
Tanners is our most famous lake. Nestling in front of the lodges we use it as our primary match lake during the year. With 9 islands and good margins matches can be won from almost any peg.
Pines
As the name suggests this lake nestles against a copse of pines trees nooks and crannies. pines is our main silver fish venue which fishes best in summer.
Woodpecker
A pleasure anglers dream! A lovely island to cast to from almost every peg with bomb or waggler. Secluded out of the way back bays and great margins in the corner pegs.
Beatties
400 doubles make this a real action water with lots of runs and action plus the chance to catch the fish of a lifetime. Carp to 37lb with many 26lb plus in Beatties.
Lodge
Lodge is a beautiful lake established in 1973. Gorgeous bays, overhanging willows and huge banks of lillies provide a home for 600 double figure Carp to 43lbs.
Oak
Brand new for 2015 is a refurbished Oak lake. This is set to be a real winner as a pleasure fishing lake and is ideal for families and youngsters who want a fish a chuck. Good access via a new gravel path and with new pegs all around the lake.
Willow
Willow lake is now open. The lake consists of 20 pegs all fishing from an island with access to the lake via a bridge. The car park for willow lake has now been extended for easy parking.
